Monkey-and-goat team up for veggie feast

An animal odd couple has been causing trouble for a farmer in Dongguang, Guangdong Province recently.

"The monkey and the goat in the nearby performance group are really annoying. They're eating me out of house and home!" the farmer, surnamed Ye, complained last Sunday.

Ye said that every day the circus performance troupe has been situated near his farm, the goat would carry the monkey on its back and sneak into his vegetable garden.

First, the monkey would look around to make sure no one was working nearby, and then they would have their fill of the cabbage and mustard greens.

The animals are two performance partners, and they take advantage of the intervals between shows to sneak their surreptitious snacks, said an animal trainer surnamed Liu.
